This new audio & economics superhero musical is based on popular NPR podcast PLANET MONEY's re-launched comic book character Micro-Face. This podcast musical was released as a bonus episode on August 1, 2022.

​

Planet Money hosts Kenny Malone and Robert Smith have revived the 1940s superhero Micro-Face, originally created by Allen Ulmer.  In a series of episodes Planet Money has been exploring the public domain and the world of licensing and derivative works, and their own process in creating a new “superhero empire.”  The comic book is currently available for sale on NPR’s website at npr.org/micro-face.

MICRO-FACE: The Musical was recorded live in concert to a sold-out crowd at Roulette in Brooklyn, NY, in May 2022.
